HoneyCoin Named in Norrsken100 2026 List of Promising Early-Stage Startups

Introduction

HoneyCoin, a company building stablecoin-powered payments infrastructure for African markets, has been named in the Norrsken100 2026. The list is a global selection of 100 early-stage startups.

HoneyCoin announced the recognition on LinkedIn on 14 October 2026. The announcement was also displayed on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, New York City.

How the Norrsken100 2026 Was Selected

The Norrsken100 identifies the 100 most promising early-stage startups that are solving challenges at scale. According to HoneyCoin, the selection focuses on companies that outperform the legacy models that created those challenges.

This year’s selection drew on more than 1,400 nominations. These came from 80 hand-picked partners, including prominent venture capital firms, academic institutions and NGOs.

That means fewer than one in ten nominated companies made the final list. HoneyCoin is one of the 100 startups selected.

HoneyCoin’s Stablecoin Payments Infrastructure

HoneyCoin builds payments infrastructure that uses stablecoins to move money across African markets. The company says its network moves money instantly across more than 45 African markets.

HoneyCoin positions its infrastructure as a way to remove the friction, fees and intermediaries that it says have held African businesses back.

Its focus is on business payments across multiple African markets, an area where moving money between countries has traditionally involved several intermediaries.

Recognition on a Global Stage

HoneyCoin shared the news through its LinkedIn page, which has 6,634 followers. The company marked the announcement with a display on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square.

The listing places HoneyCoin among startups selected internationally, alongside companies nominated by venture capital, academic and non-profit partners from Norrsken’s partner network.

Norrsken has published the full Norrsken100 2026 list on its website, where readers can view all 100 selected startups.
